Fire and Acoustic Seals Launch New E-Commerce Website

Fire and Acoustic Seals, industry specialists in fire, smoke and acoustic door seals and sealants, have just launched a new website.
The new site provides vastly improved e-commerce functionality, plus additional features for its B2B customers which include an online login area to view invoices and accounts.
Customers can now find products by name, by type of product, and by brand through its easy-to-use search and filters.
The new site offers comprehensive listings for all its products, complete with technical information, videos, and pricing options for single and bulk items.
Other key features include:
- A technical advice centre to help customers choose the right products for their project including FAQ’s, how to videos and advice articles.
- Brand filters for own-label and industry partner products providing customers choice of specifications, price tags and finishes – FAS, Lorient, Pyroplex, CCE, UAP and Vanquish.
- Best seller listings for popular products like the FAS Fire Door Foam™ and CCE Applique drop seal.
- Dedicated case studies and news sections.
- Promotion of its next day delivery service and other delivery options.
The new site also has a dedicated area for its new online Fire Door Installation CPD training course which will help users learn the correct way to install FAS Fire Door Foam™ and FAS Fire Door Intumescent Acrylic Sealant when installing fire doors. Learners will receive a FireQual certificate upon completion and automatically added to the UK Fire Door Training Approved database.
Julian Vollans, MD of Fire and Acoustic Seals comments “We knew the old site needed upgrading and see this investment is a key part of our business development strategy.
We wanted a site that provides customers with a much better, and more in-depth online shopping experience, with all stocked products listed in detail, complete with any associated technical information and advice.
We employ technical experts which is different to many similar online businesses, so wanted to emphasise this through a ‘Technical Advice & Support’ section that houses useful information. This is something our team will add to as customers feedback any specific questions and requests.
The specification for the new site also needed to be simple to update internally and help to reduce administration for the internal team. That led us to select a WordPress system that automatically pulls live pricing updates through from the stock control system and gives customers a log in area for selecting invoices following any purchases.
I’m confident that the new website and subsequent work we will do to enhance our offer will make this an online destination for all fire, smoke and acoustic products.”
