FAS Fire Door Intumescent Acrylic Sealant has been fire tested to provide 30, 60, 90 and up to 120 minutes of fire resistance in timber fire doors and timber glazed screens. The sealant has been tested in accordance with BS 476: Part 20 & 22: 1987 and BS EN 1634-1, demonstrating its suitability for use as part of a tested fire door sealing and fire stopping system. The achievable fire rating will depend on the application, gap size and installation configuration. No, FAS Fire Door Silicone Sealant does not require specialist packers or fixings. The sealant has been tested as part of a fire door sealing system using FAS Fire Door Foam™, plastic packers and standard screw fixings. Timber packers may also be used where required.
