Introducing Our New Technical Sales Manager: Paul Gilbert
We’re excited to announce the latest addition to our team at Fire & Acoustic Seals (FAS), Paul Gilbert, who will be stepping into the role of Technical Sales Manager. With an extensive background in technical sales and industrial chemistry, Paul brings a wealth of experience that aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing top-quality customer service and innovative solutions.
Paul’s career journey began straight out of school when he embarked on an apprenticeship as a laboratory technician with Ashland Specialty Chemicals. Over 19 years, he gained in-depth knowledge in developing solvent-based adhesives across various industries. His responsibilities expanded beyond polymer synthesis to include laboratory procurement, risk assessments, and internal training—a testament to his adaptable skill set.
In 2014, Paul took on the role of Technical Manager/Industrial Chemist at Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies, where he initially focused on low-friction protective coatings. His role soon evolved into a customer-facing position, emphasising technical consultation and sales growth. This experience ignited his passion for engaging with clients and solving complex problems collaboratively.
Continuing his upward trajectory, Paul joined The Vita Group as Technical Sales Manager, where he played a crucial role in increasing the company’s turnover from £4.8 million in 2016 to an impressive £9 million in 2024. His focus on building service-oriented relationships has led to enhanced customer trust and loyalty.

Balancing Work and Family
When he’s not at work, Paul enjoys staying active by running and hitting the gym regularly. He also cherishes family time with his wife, Christina, and their children, Ethan and Alicia. Whether it’s cheering on Ethan at Stourbridge RFC matches or hitting the slopes for a family skiing trip, Paul values the balance between his professional and personal life.

At FAS, Paul’s key objectives will include building and maintaining strong relationships with customers across England and Wales while increasing our market presence. His insights and expertise will undoubtedly play a vital role in driving our business growth and enhancing our product offerings.
