A low-pressure intumescent strip that gives excellent fire-sealing properties with the benefit of a flexible strip of intumescent material.
Features & Benefits
- Phosphate-based intumescent fire strip.
- Give an approximately ten-fold increase in volume when exposed to a temperature above 180C.
- Available in a variety of shapes so that it can be used in a wide range of applications.
- Also suitable for gaskets for ironmongery protection i.e. locks, latches, bolts, hinges etc.
- Useful in applications where the gap to be filled is small and the fire retardant properties are beneficial, such as over panels.
- A moderate degree of expansion in order to provide some resistance to erosion.
Areas of Application
Developed for glazing applications where a pressure-forming product is disadvantageous.
