Product Description

The FlexiFire 100m coil is a specialised bulk format of graphite-based intumescent material, designed for high-volume fire door manufacturing and bespoke hardware protection. It is engineered to be fitted behind fire-rated hinges, forming a thermal barrier that reacts to heat and helps prevent the transfer of fire through the hinge rebate.

This bulk coil format allows precise cutting to required sizes, making it ideal for non-standard hinges, locks, or latches while reducing material waste compared to pre-cut pads.

Fire Performance & Certification

• Fire Rating: Tested to BS 476: Part 20 and BS EN 1366-3

Upon reaching approximately 180°C, the intercalated graphite exfoliates, expanding up to 20 times its original volume to fill gaps and rebates.
