Lorient LAS9050 si Finger Guard Seal – Hinge Knuckle Side

The Lorient LAS9050 si Finger Guard Seal is a medium-duty finger guard seal fitted to the hinge knuckle side of a hinged door. It forms part of a finger guard system designed to help shield against trapping fingers in hinged doors. When combined with the LAS9070 si on the hinge cavity side, it provides a complete finger protection solution.

• Specifically located on the hinge knuckle side of door jambs.

• Silver anodised aluminium finish with grey cover strip and grey gasket as standard.

• Standard length 2.1 m (other lengths available to special order).

• Designed to be used together with LAS9070 si for finger guard protection on both sides of a door.

• Fixings supplied: self-tapping wood screws; fixing holes are pre-drilled and slotted to allow accurate positioning; PVC cover strips to conceal fixings are supplied.

Areas of Application

• Fitted to the jambs of hinged doors on the hinge knuckle side to provide finger protection and reduce the risk of finger trapping.

• Integrates with the LAS9070 si on the hinge cavity side to complete the finger guard system.

Fire Performance & Certification

• The LAS9050 si / LAS9070 si finger guard seal system has test evidence to BS 8613:2017 (Finger protection devices for pedestrian doors – Type A, Class 1).

• The product contributes towards sound, smoke, draught and light containment as part of the finger guard system.

• Note: This is a finger guard seal and not promoted as a fire-rated door seal on its own; fire performance is dependent on the full door assembly and associated approved fire door sealing products.
