FAS Fire Door Sealants Achieve CCPI Assessed Status
FAS Fire Door Foam™, Intumescent Acrylic Sealant, and Silicone Sealant have met the rigorous standards of the Code for Construction Product Information. This is also the first CCPI-assessed ‘PU Fire Door Foam’ in the UK.
Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI)
What is the CCPI?
The Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) is a UK-based industry standard established following Dame Judith Hackitt’s independent review after the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The Code was created to drive higher standards of transparency, accuracy, and accountability in the way construction product information is produced and shared.
Its core purpose is to build trust among specifiers, architects, contractors, and clients by seeking to ensure that product information is:
- Clear and unambiguous
- Accurate and evidence-based
- Accessible and easy to understand
- Up-to-date and well-maintained
Why the CCPI Matters
Reliable product information is critical to safe design, specification, and installation. The CCPI helps reduce risk by applying assessment and continuous improvement processes to raise standards in product information with the aim that construction products are properly substantiated and responsibly communicated.
The overall aim is that clients, specifiers, and users will preferentially choose to work with products and organisations that conform to the CCPI.
